It’s Fridaaaaaay! I’m back with some of my Friday favorites from the past week and I’m kicking it off with a recent find that I am oh so happy about:
1 – My first ironstone!
You guys, this is my very first ironstone! One of my friends took me to this wonderful antique shop last week and it was everything. There were so many glorious farmhouse goodies. I definitely had to restrain myself a bit.
As we shopped I of course kept my eyes open for ironstone. Ever since I learned to start looking for ironstone, I honestly haven’t stumbled across any at all. So sad. I think Minnesota definitely has a drought in that department. When I saw this pitcher in the store though, I instantly wondered. Sure enough, the seal on the bottom clearly denoted it as ironstone. At $15 I didn’t even hesitate to buy it. Of course, it has some cracks and it’s definitely got the dark staining and crazing taking place, but I absolutely love it.
I had hoped to find something like this to use around the house so I was ecstatic to find exactly what I had envisioned.
2 – Third Anniversary
We celebrated three years this week and it’s crazy how fast the time goes by. We have had such a great start to our marriage and it makes me look forward even more to the years to come.
3 – The return of Reese’s pumpkins
On a much lighter note, does anyone else get ridiculously excited when Reese’s pumpkins hit the stores? I don’t know what makes them so much better than the normal peanut butter cups, but every year I’m totally hooked. Maybe there’s a greater peanut butter filling to chocolate ratio? I don’t know, but I’m a fan.
I’m also loving this new (to me) blog that I stumbled upon. Christina has been renovating a 1902 Victorian Fixer Upper and her before and after page is phenomenal. She has a knack for honoring the heritage of the home with her design aesthetic while still bringing in her own unique style. Head over and check out her before and afters page for some fun inspiration!
Hope you all are having a happy Friday! Share with me some of your favorites from the week in the comments below!
