Exciting Changes at Bellewood Cottage

Saturdays aren’t my usual posting day, but it’s time to share our secret!

Yep, that’s right, in February 2019 we will be welcoming our first little one!

Bellewood Cottage Baby

This tiny baby will definitely be bringing some changes to Bellewood Cottage (which I am excited to share more about!). But actually, the first change that baby brought was crazy first trimester exhaustion. Which might explain why I haven’t been around much this summer. I decided to give myself some grace and just embrace the fact that my body is growing a baby and needed lots of extra rest.

Thankfully though, I’m feeling like myself again. Oh, and I cook again now, ha! My first couple weeks it was kind of hilarious because I was all “oh I’m doing so good at working out and eating well, this will be such a healthy pregnancy”. And then the nausea struck. And bagels/carbs it was for the next several weeks. Get aaall that meat away from me!

I’m really looking forward to sharing some of the projects I’ve been prepping for this little one. Knitting, sewing, planning, SHOPPING (mostly window shopping, but still!), and trying to figure out the whole carseat/stroller situation. That’s a fun one.

I’ve been so so eager to share the news here because after discovering we were expecting, my mind went to all things baby and it hasn’t really returned from that!

Also something exciting…we are not finding out gender at our 20 week ultrasound. I’m totally waffling on that decision now (ha!), but we are planning to stick with it and overall I really am loving not knowing. It’s fun thinking about the old wives tales (like cravings, heart rate, Chinese birth calendar, and on and on) and trying to guess, but 100% having no clue at the same time.

Of course, there are some challenges too with not finding out, which I will for sure be chatting about here on the blog for anyone else that is going through that same process.

Thanks for stopping by today to read about our news! I can’t wait to share more about baby and baby-related diys!
