Salt Dough Ornament Kit
Salt dough ornaments are so much fun for kids (and grown-ups too!). Put together this Salt Dough Ornament Kit in a jar for a quick and easy holiday gift (printable gift tags included). Kids will love mixing, rolling, and cutting their own ornaments and crafts.
Supplies
Salt Dough 16 Ounce Jar Kit (2 cups mix)
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup salt
- 1/2 cup warm water (recipient adds later)
Salt Dough 8 oz Jar Kit (~1 cup mix)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup salt
- 4-5 tablespoons warm water (recipient adds later)
Instructions
- Grab a medium-sized bowl and mix together the flour and salt (consult recipe for amounts for your size jar). Spoon into the correct size jar (or use a funnel) and close the jar.
- Print the included gift tags I’ve included with the post (be sure to print the correct tags to match your size jar). Cut out gift tags.
- Attach gift tag and a cookie cutter (optional) to the jar with a pretty string, cord, or ribbon. That’s it!
Notes
Recipe makes a 16 oz or 8 oz jar. Follow guidelines for your size jar and be sure to print the correct gift tags.
For younger kids, when it's time to craft, have an adult help shake and empty the jar into a bowl.
