Ingredients you'll need for the cookies include: butter, sugar, confectioners' sugar, egg, vanilla extract, cake batter flavor, flour, sprinkles, baking powder, and salt.
For the frosting: butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, cake batter flavor, milk (optional), and confectioners' sugar.
Tip: Use the style of sprinkles shown above and skip the nonpareil kind (little round ones) as they will bleed in the dough.
Whip up a basic sugar cookie dough using a hand mixer (a stand mixer will work too).
Add in sprinkles (optional, but so fun!) and scoop and bake the cookies. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
Make the cream cheese frosting while the cookies are baking and allow it to chill in the fridge until the cookies are cool enough to frost.
Pipe frosting onto cooled cookies with a large round piping tip and top with sprinkles!
Frosted cookies need to be chilled so be sure you have fridge or freezer space before frosting (may also be frosted individually just before eating).
