Sew Drawstring Bags with French Seams

Fabric used: Robert Kaufman cotton/linen blend. Ties: handmade bias tape (sew it closed for durability)

Here's the inside and outside of the bag. See the neat enclosed French seams? It's easier than you'd think!

Here's a quick overview: with French seams, you'll start by sewing WRONG sides together first. For a drawstring bag, you'll need to leave a gap at the top of each edge of the bag.

Raw edges will be hemmed.

Looking good so far!

Fold down edges for the drawstring casing.

Add drawstrings in.

This is what it'll look like!

Use the bags for reusable gift bags or organization around your home!
